Sega/Sonic Golden Ring Jump

To launch the new Sonic Forces series, we came up with the idea of a hybrid experiential event combining digital assets with a live competition.
Fans were going to have a video shot of them jumping on a trampoline to grab a golden ring.

We custom-painted a green screen and made a greenscreen cover for the trampoline along with a custom-made greenscreen buffer of foam padding to keep our participants on a soft landing.

The captured video was dropped into a background featuring one of the maps from the newly released Sonic game.

Meanwhile in the real world, fans that actually grabbed the golden circle won $100. The lines were packed through both Anime Expo and San Diego Comic Con with fans excited to share their videos on social media. The activation appropriately took home a “Golden Circle” advertising award for the agency and its partners.
